Philippians 3:10 - “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,”
We need to know the resurrected life to live it out fully. Abraham was given a vision of the land and generations to come by God. What image does God paint for us? Christianity is not just a set of beliefs that guide our morals. It is a power to live out a life that God has provided. This is the resurrection power in us. It started the day you were born again. Many of us live below what has been prepared for us. It’s excitement to live out God’s way of life. There is no place for depression and oppression.
John 10:10 - “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
Galatians 2:20 - “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
When Christ lives in us, we will have a powerful and beautiful life. Jesus coming to this earth makes this possible for us. We are made alive in Christ. Paul identified with this truth in Philippians 3:10. Jesus prayed by calling out to His Father. When we pray, we do the same too. It is meant to be an intimate relationship with God. God desires an intimate relationship with us. We often approach God in a very transactional manner. We expect God to bless us with something tangible because we serve Him. But it should be the other way round, where God blesses us so we want to give thanks.
John 17:3 - “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.”
Romans 8:32 - “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”
The Holy Spirit can speak to us clearly. When you have this close relationship with God, you hear from the Holy Spirit and you are not taken aback. You may be temporarily troubled but you will face whatever challenges you have. You will be prepared for the future even if you are uncertain. You know which steps to take because you rely on the Holy Spirit.
John 16:3 - “This is because they have never known the Father or me.”
Any prayer we make is one with thanksgiving.
Philippians 4:6-7 - “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
The resurrected life is filled with God’s presence, free from fear and confusion, full of hope, wisdom and peace. A resurrected life is one with Christ that’s why we can have intimacy with God. We can have infinite power in Christ. False humility demands that we see God as powerful and us as weak. If we don’t know God’s words, ignorance will keep us less than who we are. We need to stop this religiosity.
2 Timothy 3:5 - “They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”
God has given us infinite power to us who believe. We are powerful in Christ because we are never apart from Christ. In Him means that we fully depend on Him. He empowers us and His power never leaves us because the Holy Spirit never leaves us. In Him we bear much fruit and fruit that remains. If you are thinking of giving up things that God has put in your heart, don’t give up. When we depend on God’s power, we can accomplish all that He has called us to do. That’s the resurrected life.
Ephesians 1:19-20 - “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.”
God’s power in us is to overcome. That’s why He calls us more than conquerors. We often look at ourselves as weak. We must go beyond looking at our mortal bodies. We praise so that we can understand. We pray so that we can hear. All these blessings that have been given to us can manifest in our lives.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9 - “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
Ephesians 3:16 - “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
We can come to Him to find out what God has put in our heart to do. What captivates your imagination and burns in your heart as you pray?
Ephesians 2:10 - “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
The resurrected life is filled with God’s power. We are free from doubt and insecurity but full of confidence and clarity. I may not know clearly all that is in my future. But I know my God who holds tomorrow and I trust in Him to lead the way.
What has God put in your heart? That is my appeal to you today. If you need to come back to God, come back to God. He is the ever loving
Father with His arms open wide to welcome you. If you need to understand the future, come to Him and find out. Have our lives been so compartmentalised that we do church on Sundays and work or school the rest of the week? We are not doing church but are influences of Christ. When others are trembling, you are standing strong. When you obey what God has given you to do, God’s plan is to take you to the end of yourself and fully depend on Him. His plan will take all that you have naturally and supernaturally.
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”
To be inspired influencers, we need to be kind and forgiving. When iron sharpens iron, there will be conflict. But the love of God is given for us to forgive. We forgive not to earn forgiveness but because we are already forgiven. The forgiveness can flow to us. If you live in bitterness, you will not be able to fulfil God’s plan. We need to let go.
Ephesians 4:32 - “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”
Be ready to share at all times. There is no pressure to perform. Being ready is because we already have the word of God in us. It’s not about personality. Let’s put aside our worries and be empowered by the Holy Spirt. Sometimes we have to rebuke and reprove. We need to be able to speak, share, and preach.
2 Timothy 4:2 - “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.”
The resurrected life is filled with God’s compassion, free from cynicism and strife, and full of truth from God’s word.
Amen.
