Solely Trust In His Full Gospel (Acts 20:32)

Sermon on 7 April 2024 by Elder Lee

Introduction

Our Lord Jesus died for our sins so we can be born again. This is the proof of the goodness of God.

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Message

We must live and abide in our Lord Jesus. The anti-Christ will come. When Jesus was in the desert for 40 days, He was tempted by the devil. He was tempted with food, but Jesus replied that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word of the Lord. Every word of the Lord must enter into our hearts. We are to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls. We are also to love others like we love ourselves. Let us carry our cross every day. This means to put our old selves to death - the old selves who are selfish and proud.

Our Lord Jesus was tempted by the devil a second and third time. But He countered every attempt by what was written in the bible. Even Jesus Himself relied on God’s word, let alone us. We must be aware and awake.

And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book. - Revelation 22:18-19

Closing

We only want to trust the full gospel truth. Let us not look to man; let us pursue His word.
